Adrian Carpenter began designing interactive multimedia projects for Jacksonville State University in 1992. Using Discovery Systems’ CourseBuilder software, computer-based tutorial units were designed for the University’s Precision Teaching lab. He was introduced to desktop publishing in 1995 utilizing Pagemaker and QuarkExpress. Adrian began using Quickbooks in 1996. During this time he worked with three businesses as they moved from a traditional accounting system to Quickbooks. 1998 found Adrian beginning to develop databases using Filemaker Pro. He began building websites with Homestead's Sitebuilder soon thereafter. Thirteen years later, Adrian is still designing databases and websites for various organizations throughout Alabama.
Adrian holds a B.S.W. from Jacksonville State University and is currently employed by the Circle of Care Center for Families as their At-Risk Youth Coordinator. His degree in social work and employment experiences in social service delivery and various computer-related responsibilities give him a unique perspective. Unlike many software developers, he understands the limitations and needs of social service delivery as they relate to the integration of technology.
